Busan: Where to stay (Ibis budget Ambassador Busan Haeundae)

✨  2024 update : the hotel is already closed 😔 ✨

Recommended hotel near the area – Best Louis Hamilton Hotel

My first choice for Busan has always been Canvas Hostel but during this trip, they aren’t able to entertain guests that arrive beyond 9 PM KST.

Not gonna lie, it was probably a blessing in disguise since I’ve read that their service declined during the pandemic (😭).

I wanted to stay in the area because I know I would be able to reach Haeundae beach faster so I probably spent days trying to figure out where is a good place to stay. Part of me was debating if staying in an Airbnb would be cheaper than staying in a hotel but after finding out this place well cost-wise, it was the better option for me.

Using Canvas Hostel as the pin, Ibis budget Ambassador Busan Haeundae was literally just a street across! The location was perfect and the price was not that expensive or was still within the budget.

I didn’t have to adjust to the area since I was already familiar and I was still close to Haeundae Beach.

Originally, I was supposed to choose Standard Twin Bed Room but I saw their Standard 2 Single Beds Ocean View. The one with the ocean view only had an additional 500 PHP (less than $10) per night so I chose that one instead!

Bus stops and bus stations are the same as before –

Dongbaekseom Island Entrance Station

Coming from Gimhae International Airport, you can either take a cab or the bus to the hotel. You can pay using your credit card just in case you don’t have cash with you.

Via cab – there are a lot of cabs waiting outside of the airport or you can also use Uber for your ride

Via bus – you can pay using a credit card or buy a physical ticket from the booth

you’ll be lining up at this no 3 bus stop
the time table posted here was more accurate than the one on Google Maps
this is how the ticketing booth looks like! you can find it after gate 4
you’ll be buying and paying through this kiosk but I’d recommend just paying in credit card on the bus so that you don’t have to walk far

They’ll drop you off at Dongbaekseom Island Entrance Station so it’s the same stop as usual, adjusting around the area will not be too much!

How to hotel looks like!

there’s a supermarket literally across the hotel so you don’t have to worry!
this is the road heading to Haeundae beach!
don’t worry
there’s an elevator to help you with your luggage

the toilet and the shower are separated!
love how the sink has a lot of space for me to put my toiletries and skincare!!!

2 bottles of water was refilled everyday!! I love this hotel so much

that additional payment for an ocean view was so worth it (glad the difference was not that big)

all photos were taken using an iPhone 13 Pro Max

* 2023 room update ! *

I went back to Busan with my parents this 2023, all rooms were fully booked and there was only one type of room that was available. It was a bit expensive from the usual rooms I booked but it was worth it.

This room was bigger than where we previously stayed! I don’t mind staying in the smaller room though, the price difference was a bit big.

I got shocked with the sofa
toilet is still separated from the shower and sink

room was huge

like for real
there’s still a full-body mirror
my parent’s favorite part haha there was a huge closet
still my favorite view in the world 💚
woke up during our first day with this view
there were days when I had breakfast in the room with my favorite bread!
