My parents were able to see the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights a few years ago in Alaska and they wanted my brother and I to experience it as well.
We were already planning to chase them in Canada, since you can also see them there. There are two places where you can catch the Aurora Borealis:
1. Yellowknife
2. Whitehorse, Yukon
Yellowknife is the number one destination if you are deciding around Canada but the prices are very very expensive. It was too much for our family of four so we settled going to Whitehorse, Yukon instead.
My dad already told us that it will be a very “chill” trip because it will be just like how they were in Alaska, there was nothing much to do during the day except do day activities that were being offered at the place.
Our trip to chase the Aurora Borealis was that we will spend New Year’s there – and IT WAS THE BEST DECISION WE EVER MADE.

If you’re wondering how I was able to take photos of the Aurora Borealis during our trip, I only used a GoPro 4.
I already wrote about how I was able to do it! You can read about it here : How to: Capture the Aurora Borealis with a GoPro Hero 4
To you who are reading, I wish you would be able to catch Aurora as well! It was an unexplainable phenomenon.
