Squamish: Where to stay (Sea to Sky Hotel) and what to do (Sea to Sky Gondola)

Our stay in Squamish was brief since we only had one day (our last day) to explore the place. We allotted 2 days in Whistler and as I mentioned in my previous post, we decided to stay in Squamish and just take the bus to Whistler since hotels in Whistler were crazy expensive.

Stay: Sea to Sky Hotel

Sea to Sky Hotel is one of my favorite hotel since the price is reasonable and the room is big. There’s wifi and hot water but no free breakfast (totally okay since you can get breakfast take outs from Tim Hortons which is just a 5 minute walk away).
Our view was also a-mazing (sorry no photo but our view was almost the same as the one when we got dropped off in Squamish)

One of the reasons why I also love this hotel is that the distance to the Greyhound terminal is also just 5 minutes away.

What to do: Sea to Sky Gondola

Sea to Sky Gondola has been one of my favorites during this trip!! You will understand why if you see the photos below!!

We went here exactly during Christmas (Dec 25)
Going to Sea to Sky Gondola during Christmas:
Pro: Hardly anyone at the place
Con: It’s hard to get a cab since it’s the holidays

Sea to Sky Hotel has one of the nicest staff and lucky for us, they were kind enough to help us get a cab.

As soon as we arrived at the summit, we decided to have an early lunch before exploring the place.

There’s only one restaurant, Summit Lodge, at the summit so you really don’t have a choice in terms of “where to eat”.

After taking our early lunch, it was time to explore the place!!

We decided to hike and follow a trail to The Chief Viewing Platform.

As I mentioned, it was hard to get a cab during that day since it was Christmas so we definitely had a hard time going back. But not to worry!! Sea to Sky Gondola staff are very nice as well!! You can ask help from the staff at the souvenir shop, which you will pass by after riding the cable car down.

I feel like there are still a lot of things we can do at Sea to Sky Gondola and a day definitely is not enough to explore the place!
