Yakiniku Matsusaka (Matsusaka M) Namba (How to reserve, how to go, and what to expect)

Bad news first, the Yakiniku Matsusaka in Dohtonbori is already closed.

Initially, I thought it would be a bit harder for me to have a meal at Matsusaka again but thankfully they still have other branches!

Reservations are still the same as how I did it before but it only starts at night time now when I go to the website. I didn’t give up (HAHAHAHA) since we were planning to have our last meal there.

I sent a message to their Instagram and that’s where I was able to make a reservation! Their Instagram handle is @matsusaka_m.

I was so happy that I was still able to make a reservation on my desired date and time! This was the closest one to our Airbnb and we actually came across it already when we arrived in Osaka!

How to go to Matsusaka M Namba :

view as soon as you go out
you will face left (towards the parking lot space)
and you will immediately turn right on the alley on your right
and from here you’ll just keep on walking straight

yup, just keep on walking straight
yes, you’ll cross the main road but just keep on walking straight

you should see the restaurant on your right

Here are the other branches left around the area!

We arrived a bit early since we thought it would take us longer to arrive there.

their team sent me a message to remind me of the reservation! they were thoughtful to assign a Filipino staff to us 🥹
place was smaller than the one we went to before, I don’t know if the second floor is bigger
not gonna lie it was a bit hard to cook the meat for 3 people in this area, I had to stand up a lot
sweet 🥹

Their menu also looked like it changed but the quality of meat was still TOP NOTCH!

My friends and I agreed to get the special full course instead of the premium because the premium looks quite heavy and we were flying out of Japan the same day.

they prepare the hot stone pot garlic rice for you
we got another order! “Aburi” Matsusaka Beef marbled cut sushi is TO DIE FOR

all photos were taken using an iPhone / Fujifilm X-T20 18-55 mm

This place will always be one of the restaurants that I will visit every time I’m in Osaka.

Already missing my friends and this trip as I write this blog 🥹.

Watch my Osaka travel film here!

💚, R
