During our trip, this was the only “touristy” thing that we actually did. Everyone was thinking where we can have dinner and it just so happened that my dad’s friend suggested we dine at the original Din Tai Fung.
It wasn’t my first time to eat at this branch but I’m happy we went back to eat here because I can share with you guys how to go here and how the place looks like!
We didn’t commute here (sorry), my dad’s friend has a car so we drove here but the nearest station to this restaurant is Dongmen (東門) Station, exit 5. Upon going out of exit 5, you just have to walk straight accross a block before you can reach Din Tai Fung.
Not hard to miss the restaurant. You will definitely see a long line outside.
Upon arriving, get your que number from the girl below the LED number board (the LED number board actually tells you approximately how long you will wait before you’ll be seated)
As soon as your que number is flashed on the TV, you can finally enter the restaurant!
