In no specific order, these are the places we ate during our stay in Portland. If you’re curious which ones I think are worth trying then keep on scrolling!
1. Chipotle Mexican Grill
During our first day in Portland, we failed to notice the time and before we knew it, it was already I think 8pm? We decided that we will dine at the first restaurant that we will come across and that’s how we stumbled upon Chipotle.
There’s no Chipotle here in the Philippines but I’ve been hearing about the place so I was curious on how the food would taste like.
I remember half of us ordering the burrito while the other half ordered taco. I guess the food was okay, it was definitely better than Taco Bell. One of the things that I will/might constantly look for or crave for is their guac which was A-MAZING.

2. Taco Bell
If you decide to stay where we stayed (Park Lanes) and you suddenly got hungry, Taco Bell will definitely be there to save the day.
We only ate at Taco Bell since we woke up late during the day when we went to Nike Company Store and Adidas Village and we had to eat lunch in a hurry. It was the closest “fast food” place to where we stayed.

3. Ruth’s Chris Steak House
This might be the second fanciest restaurant that we dined in during our Christmas trip. I forgot what we ordered (lol sorry) but I remembered enjoying their steak. The clam chowder was definitely not at par with the ones we had in Seattle (esp the one from Duke’s Chowder House) so you can totally skip on that.
Definitely a recommended restaurant but ONLY if you have a budget.

4. Screen Door
Screen Door was actually recommended by my dad’s friend (thank you Uncle Alex Nubla) since this is one of the best places to try that “Portland cuisine”.
The place DEFINITELY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! As soon as we arrived the place was packed with people and we actually had to wait (really no regrets).
We ordered everything that the waiter recommended AND THE FOOD WAS CRAZY GOOD. I’ll definitely come back here (when I get the chance to go back to Portland) to try their other dishes!

5. Grassa
If I recalled right, I think this place was also recommended by my dad’s friend (lol thank you again Uncle Alex Nubla).
THIS IS DEFINITELY ONE OF THE “MUST TRY” RESTAURANTS WHEN YOU GO TO PORTLAND.
Their pasta is/has topped my list ever since we dined here!!!!!!

6. Lardo
Lardo’s is actually just beside Grassa (there’s a secret door inside Grassa/Lardo going to the other place, pretty cool).
We weren’t able to dine here but we got burger take outs for our trip back to Vancouver.
We got their double burger and IT WAS GOOD. Americans really make good burgers!! Would definitely want to go back here to try their other dishes!!
We also got fresh baked cookies (no photos cause we immediately ate them haha)!!

There are a lot of good restaurants in Portland, but sadly time did not allow us to try them all. Hopefully we could come back and try the others as well!
