I had a few options for where we could have dinner and asked everyone what they wanted. I didn’t have any particular cravings for my birthday; I was already happy that we were all together at that time.
Among the list, we decided to dine at Tao Tao Ju (陶陶居), our favorite restaurant in Guangzhou since 2019! We were so happy they opened branches in Shanghai because we had been wanting my brother to try the food here.

There was no line when we got there, so we were able to eat immediately.
These are everything we ordered! We also tried new dishes that we hadn’t been able to try before.

I asked my brother to rank the restaurants we went to, and this came in at number 2. That should be a good enough reason for you to try this restaurant as well.
