By day 4, I was starting to feel a little sick of Chinese food 😭, so I spent some time the night before looking for a good restaurant. That’s when I stumbled upon this Italian place with great reviews!
Alimentari Grande (东湖路店) is an Italian restaurant near Huaihai area.
I didn’t know anything about this restaurant other than that it was a good Italian place based on reviews. We only realized afterwards that it’s actually a chain of restaurants with different names, but Alimentari is still in the name and the vibe of each location varies!
Exact address : 上海市徐汇区东湖路20号101-201室 (近淮海中路)
We took a cab going here since it was raining when we left.
We didn’t have to order or pay via QR code since the waiter took our order for us.
I’m not sure when my family ordered this, but I was surprised when they served a cake with a birthday candle! It was honestly the best birthday I’ve had in years.

To be honest, it was good but not mind-blowing. It’s a solid Italian restaurant, and I can see why it has high reviews. It was definitely a nice break from the constant Chinese food.
