I saw a post saying Royce opened a new building in Sapporo, right across from their factory, where you can experience the whole farm-to-table process!
There’s a direct train that can take you from Sapporo Station to Royce’ Cacao and Chocolate Town.

How to go to Royce’ Cacao and Chocolate Town:
Get off at Royce’ Town Station and head out — there’s only one exit, so you won’t miss it.

There’s a free shuttle that will take you from the station to Cacao and Chocolate Town.

Once you enter, you’ll see some tables and a counter where you can get soft serve ice cream and hot chocolate drinks.

We skipped that part for now since I read somewhere that the tour takes around an hour and 30 minutes, so we went straight to the counter to buy our tickets.

Before we went in, they gave us a guide along with our tickets.

We went straight to the entrance since no one felt the need to use the restroom.

I’ll be sharing some photos from the tour so you can see how it went! There’s also a chocolate workshop (which we didn’t join), but I’ll include some info about it in case anyone’s interested!

You’ll spot the chocolate workshop near the end of the tour. It’s a separate fee from the main entrance ticket, and you can only buy workshop tickets in that area.

As we headed toward the exit, there were cacao-shaped stickers we could choose from. We got to write whatever we wanted on them and stick them on the wall 🥹.

Right after you exit the tour, you’ll end up in the gift shop area where you’ll see all the different Royce’ chocolates you can buy.

We decided to share the chocolate ice cream since it was the Royce’ farm-to-bar variant — we couldn’t leave without trying it!

When we got there, we saw this HUGE sunflower field and I told everyone I wanted to check it out before we left. So before we rode the shuttle back to the station, we made a quick visit and I’m so glad we did!

We bought our tickets from this machine and waited for the train to arrive.

Overall, I think it was a great idea for us to visit this place. I saw a lot of families with kids, so it seems pretty kid-friendly.
If you have some extra time and aren’t planning to visit other parts of Hokkaido like if you’re mostly just staying around Sapporo, I’d say definitely add this to your list.
