Umeda Sky Building and Hep Five (How to go and what to expect)

One of the places I really wanted to visit during the trip was Umeda Sky Building. I’ve seen countless photos from friends riding the same elevator whenever they went on a trip to Osaka so I made sure that I’ll be able to come here too during our trip to check it out.

How to go to Umeda Sky Building:

1. Get down at Umeda Station

2. Get out at exit 5

view as soon as you get out, you will not cross the pedestrian in front but you will face left

at the end, you will notice a tunnel and a note telling you to follow the path

when you leave the tunnel, Umeda Sky Building is that building on the right

What to expect at Umeda Sky Building:

you will ride an escalator that will take you to this place (you can pay to go to the observatory)

you will walk to the path that says “Kuchu Teien”

you’ll be told to ride an elevator that will take you up to

DSCF5684 — but of course my dad being great was able to take

DSCF5699 — I was able to take a very quick shot of the famous escalator without people on it

We decided to check the observatory anymore since my dad and I were already happy with our photos.

After spending some time at Umeda Sky Building, my dad told me that he remembered visiting a red ferris wheel in Osaka before so we decided to hunt it down.

I just used Google Maps to find Hep Five, and the walk was very long, so I wasn’t able to take specific photos anymore 🙁

To compensate for that, I was able to take note of the closest subway to Hep Five – Osaka-Umeda Station.
