Tsukiji Market (How to go, what to expect, and is sushi or seafood really better here?)

Probably one of the “must do”s while in Tokyo – visit Tsukiji Market and eat fresh sushi, sashimi and seafood!

Although unfortunately for people like me, I missed the chance of watching the Tuna auction – a daily event wherein vendors bid for the best tuna that will be used for serving dishes.

Everyone can still enjoy eating fresh sushi at Tsukiji Market since there are still part of the market that’s still opened. But for everyone who’s curious where the bulk of Tsukiji Market will be moving to, they will be relocated at Toyosu Market.

For us, we decided to head over to the old Tsukiji Market. I decided to go to the old one since there are still “walking tours” being offered which means there was still something to look forward to.

How to go to Tsukiju Market:

1. Get down at Tsukiji Station

It was almost lunch time so we decided to choose a restaurant within Tsukiji Market. We went with Itadori Market since we were really hungry already while walking around and their menu looks good!

as for me, I bought MORINAGA VANILLA at Lawson.  This was my ultimate childhood ice cream! My brother and I would use to buy Morinaga vanilla cones on vendo machines before but they don’t have the vendo machines anymore.
