An alternative and cheaper mode of transportation to Ngong Ping 360 (by bus)

During our recent trip, my father wanted to head over to Ngong Ping 360 so we could visit the temple there.

He told me that we’ll take the bus going to Ngong Ping 360 because it’s cheaper so I’m sharing with you guys how we did it, where is the bus stop and what bus number to take.

How to take the bus from Tung Chung to Ngong Ping 360:

Coming out from Tung Chung station, we decided to take the exit C

we decided to go out of exit C
so after heading out exit C, walk straight
and walk more towards that intersection
cross the street
just keep walking straight, the one on the right is for those heading up the cable car
we will be taking bus 23!
just keep walkimg
but cross at that pedestrian
ghad thank goodness we decided to take the bus that day, LOOK AT THAT LINE (FOR THE CABLE CAR)
walk straight and follow the path (this is quite a long walk)
line up for bus 23

you can totally doze off because ngong ping 360 is the last stop
hello there!

How to take the bus from Ngong Ping 360 back to Tung Chung:

enter Ngong Ping Village
and look for this tree (this tree will not move because it has always been there for as long as I can remember
head towards the left
follow the sign
more signs
line up at bus 23, you can doze off again since Tung Chung is the last stop

    1. I agree!!! Taking the bus is definitely a better alternative especially since the lines are not as crazy as the ones choosing to go via cable car

  2. Hey! Would you happen the time that this bus tarts riding? I’ve got a flight at 11AM so would like to be at the airport at 9:00, and I’m staying in the village next to Big Buddha. I can’t find information about this bus online. Thanks in advance for your reply!

    1. Hi Oskar! I was able to find a time table that someone shared. Unfortunately it was dated 2014 and I’m not sure if it’s still the same to date. But according to the photo, bus comes around every hour or less.
