We had a few other options, but we decided to go for KBBQ for dinner. My friend spotted this restaurant on Naver Maps. It’s not right in the heart of Hongdae, but it’s pretty close, and it wasn’t difficult to find at all.
We were already walking around the Hongdae area, but if you’re coming from elsewhere, here’s how you can get here.
1. Get down at Hongik University (line 2, Aiport line, Gyeongui – Jungang line)
2. Get out of exit 6
You’ll be able to spot the restaurant on your right!
There weren’t many people when we arrived, so we were free to choose our seats. We picked a spot with a view of the road.

My friend asked the staff for his recommendation, and he suggested the flower platter. We ordered that along with a plate of short ribs!
The staff didn’t cook for us, so my friend did all the grilling!!
We also ordered rice (not in the photo). I actually forgot to take more pictures because I was so hungry! 😆 I’ll try to update this post next time since I’m planning to bring my mom here too.
After debating on which dish we wanted to reorder, we ended up getting the short ribs again!

It was one of our favorite meals this trip!! I’m definitely taking my mom here as well. If you want a quieter restaurant away from the noise in Hongdae, this is definitely a good spot.
