I had to rebook our hotel at the last minute because the original one I booked for the four of us was SO HORRIBLE. I accidentally (or thankfully) stumbled upon a video review of the place a few weeks before our trip. When I booked it, I couldn’t find any decent reviews and thought it would be fine.
It was NOT fine.
I was actually really happy when I found this place because so many accommodations for a family of four had already filled up.
I didn’t book through Agoda this time and ended up using Trip instead. Tried booking a few listings on Agoda, but whenever I contacted the hosts, they would give me a different address from the one advertised.
So please be careful! I noticed that some hosts list their properties in a desirable area, but once you reach out, they provide an address that’s actually somewhere else.
This is the exact listing where I booked. Click me.

I messaged them to ask for their WeChat account and shared mine as well. They quickly created a group chat for our stay, which made communication so much easier.
One thing I really appreciated was that they assigned a dedicated contact person who was available 24/7. We had an issue around 2–3 a.m. on our first night, and they responded immediately and took care of it right away.

The place looks old, and the hallway is a bit scary (for me), but once you step inside the room, it looks completely different.
It’s also close to the subway station and near Nanjing Road.

We arrived at night, so this is the only photo I managed to take. They send all the instructions via WeChat before you arrive.

I’d recommend this place if you’re not too particular about older buildings. The location is good, and the space was big enough for everyone to open their luggage comfortably!
