Rolling Pasta – Jongno Branch (롤링파스타 종로점) (How to go, what to expect)

I’ve heard about Rolling Pasta since it is owned by chef Baek Jongwon, but for some reason, it’s been hard to add to my itinerary every time I’m in Seoul.

This trip, I told myself I had to try Rolling Pasta.

There are many branches of Rolling Pasta in Seoul, but I chose the one in Jongno since I was planning to visit a nearby café.

If you want to look for Rolling Pasta branches here is the korean word – 롤링파스타

Coming from our hotel, we only had to ride one train to get here!

How to go to Rolling Pasta – Jongno Branch –

1.  Get down at Jongno 3(sam) ga (line 1, 3, or 5)

2. Get out of exit 5

It was a bit of a walk to the restaurant, but not a tiring one. The weather was nice at the time, but if it’s too cold or too hot, I wouldn’t recommend walking from the station to the restaurant.

view as soon as you get out of exit 5, you’ll immediately turn to the right
you should be able to see a short pedestrian, you’ll cross the street
you should be able to see a small alley on your right
it’s a very small alley so be alert!
you’ll walk towards the alley
and this is your view as you get out
you’ll walk towards the right side of the road (no crossing)
and just walk (follow the curve)
it’s a straight walk from here
until you reach the end and you’ll see a pedestrian on your right
you should be able to see a Burger King restaurant on your right, you’ll cross the street
and walk to the right side of the road after crossing
all you have to do is walk a bit
and you’ll see it after the Baskin Robbins store
✨ made it ✨

There are individual seats, as well as seating for pairs or groups.

order and payment are through the tablet on the table, no need to worry about language since there’s an English option
my mom got the tomato hamburger steak while i got the rose cream shirmp
easy instructions!

There’s also a self-service area for water, more plates, and some pickles.

We didn’t have to wait long for our food to arrive!

all photos were taken using an iPhone 13 Pro Max / Fujifilm X-T20 18-55 mm

For the price of the pasta, I’d say it was delicious. My rosé pasta reminded me of the one I had at Ikseon Chihyang. It wasn’t exactly the same, but it had a similar vibe, maybe because I chose a rosé flavored pasta.

We really liked this dish, especially because the pasta itself was al dente. My mom definitely enjoyed her meal as well. She said it gave her a new idea for what to do when she makes pasta at home.

Definitely a good option if you’re craving pasta without wanting to spend too much. I feel like their branches can be a bit hard to find, but it’s not to the point where it’s troublesome.
