Golden Cheese (골든치즈) (How to go, what to expect)

My mom loves cheesecake, so I’m always on the lookout for it whenever there’s a chance.

I’ve been hearing about Golden Cheese, but for some reason, I never found the time to buy and try it during our trips to Seoul.

There are three branches in Seoul, and you can find them inside department stores. We went to the one in The Hyundai.

You can find how to go instructions to The Hyundai on my other post or by clicking me!

Golden Cheese is located in B1 at The Hyundai beside the Hanjungsun stall.

It’s easy to spot the stall since the orange branding really catches your eye.

I wanted to try their signature item, the golden red bean cheesecake, but I was a bit worried I might not like it. They weren’t offering free samples, so I wouldn’t know.

The cheesecake was a bit expensive, so I went with the classic one instead. You can never really go wrong with a classic.

They prepare your cheesecake as soon as you order.

The staff asked if I wanted to add caramel on top, so I asked whether it was free. When she said yes, I happily told her to add the caramel 🩷.

My mom and I found a seat nearby and got coffee to pair with the cheesecake.

they have this bunny cutter included! we brought this home 😆

all photos were taken using an iPhone 13 Pro Max / Fujifilm X-T20 18-55 mm

The cheesecake was really good, but it was too much for just two people. We purposely didn’t eat much for lunch to make space for it.

We only finished about 2/3 of it and took the rest back to our hotel.

I think this would be perfect for four people or more. I’d love to try the red bean version someday, but that probably won’t happen unless I come back with a bigger group.
