Mr Crab (미스터크랩) (What to expect)

My mom loves eating crabs, so I always try to make sure we have at least one crab-only meal whenever we’re near the ocean.

I took her to Mr Crab since there were a lot of reviews about the restaurant.

Mr Crab – 미스터크랩

not hard finding the place since there was a huge sign

a lot of parking spaces!

we were the only ones when we went haha!

There is an english menu!

At first, we wanted to get the snow crab since it was cheaper by weight, but the owners said they didn’t have any. So we kind of had no choice but to go with the king crab.

The photo below is from Naver! I didn’t get to take a pic of the menu because I was internally panicking over the price difference.

Whichever crab you choose, it also comes with a seafood platter, crab roe fried rice, and ramen.

We went over to the tank to choose our crab, but there weren’t many left—and the only three remaining were all huge. No matter which crab we picked, it was too much for just the three of us—but we didn’t have a choice, so we went with the lightest one.

“The owner gave us these fun headbands and hats to wear while we took a photo with the crab. Cropping the photo though—I’d like to keep this family moment a bit private!

While waiting for the crab to cook, they served the seafood platter along with a rice ball—which was so good!

owner’s wife taught us how to make it into balls!

saw a star inside, it was cheese!

After showing us the cooked crab, they cut up ALL the legs for us so it’d be easier to eat.
they took the head part to use it for making crab roe fried rice

I was trying to take a family selfie when the owner noticed and offered to take the photo—but he also joined in, which we didn’t mind at all! We even called his wife over to join us too.

My parents enjoyed the dish so much, I totall forgot about how much the bill would be.

For my verdict, the crab was DELICIOUS, but the rice? I’ve had better. It tasted better after we added seaweed.
The best crab roe fried rice is still the one I had in Busan!

so much better

The owner’s wife asked if we wanted ramen, but we were already super full. My mom still wanted to try it, so I told her, ‘Just one bowl, please.

good but SUPER spicy

Time to settle the bill 💀.

all photos were taken using an iPhone 13 Pro Max / Fujifilm X-T20 18-55 mm

Even though we paid a bit more, I’d still recommend this place! The seafood was amazing, and the price felt fair for that much food. I don’t think we’d be able to eat king crab at that price back home in the Philippines.

Just make sure to allot a bigger budget for this restaurant if you’re visiting!
