Jeju: Where to stay (Hotel Whistlelark Jeju)

I did a lot of research and read tons of blogs about where to stay in Jeju.

I asked my dad if he wanted to switch hotels during the trip, since a lot of people recommended staying in two different places, but he said we should just stick to one to avoid the hassle of unpacking, packing, and doing it all over again.

We had 6 full days, so I told my dad one accommodation was fine for our 8-day stay.

I chose Hotel Whistlelark Jeju because I still wanted an ocean view during our stay.

It was also close to both the airport and the car rental place, so we wouldn’t have a hard time getting cabs when needed.

room is big! my dad was happy

there was a table with sockets, so I had no trouble getting work done here!

There aren’t many parking spaces outside or in the hotel’s basement, so there were times when we had to park nearby. That’s something some people might want to keep in mind.

One morning during our stay, we saw some Haenyeo being filmed for something. I thought we wouldn’t get the chance to see any, so I was really glad we did just a few days before we had to leave!

There is a CU near the hotel, but the closest convenience store is actually GS25, it is located in the building next to Hotel Whistlelark.

there’s also a BBQ chicken near if ever you want to stay in and eat in your room

We’re not picky with hotels—hot water, good Wi-Fi, and decent cleanliness are all we really need!

I read that some families didn’t enjoy staying here because they felt the hotel was old and not well maintained—but honestly, we’ve stayed in worse, so we were happy with our stay!
