Hyeopjae Pork Noodles (협재신국수) (What to expect)

I read somewhere that you have to try noodle soups here in Jeju, so I went ahead and looked for a place!

Hyeopjae Pork Noodles – 협재신국수

This restaurant sits in what feels like the middle of nowhere. No tourists in sight, yet the place is packed with locals.

you’ll see this red sign
or this white sign!
the restaurant looks like a house

The parking space is just enough for those eating inside.

1 person = 1 order

the place stayed empty for less than 5 minutes after the previous guests left, but it quickly filled up!

This was their menu! Each of us got the meat noodle bowl.

we got an order of this!
removed the red powder and gave it to my mom because I think that’s spicy
all our noodles were served together!
bowl was big! face to bowl ratio hehe

all photos were taken using an iPhone 13 Pro Max / Fujifilm X-T20 18-55 mm

Overall, the noodle soup was good! I’m not a huge fan of noodle soups like my dad is, but I really enjoyed this dish—especially after adding the kimchi!

I believe the mom is the one making the dishes—I saw her inside the kitchen while I was paying 🥹.

Watch my Jeju travel film here!
