First time traveling from Gimpo airport – heading to Jeju (How to go, what to expect)

This is it!! We were finally flying to Jeju! It was our first time flying from Gimpo airport, so this was very exciting for me!

You can take any of the four lines—Airport Railroad Line, Gimpo GoldLine, Line 5, or Line 9—to reach the station.

We took Line 5 since it was the closest to where we stayed. We grabbed our luggage from the hotel and hopped on the subway!

since we’re flying domestic, we just followed the signs
all the signs that say domestic!
they have a lot of signs, so you don’t have to worry about getting lost

We arrived on the first floor and took the elevator to the second floor, where the check-in sign was.

We were flying with Asiana Airlines, so we looked for the counter allocated for the airline. There are a lot of signs, and it didn’t make it hard for us.

There were self check-in machines that my dad wanted to try.

this was our boarding pass already!

After checking in, we just dropped our bags at the counter!

After dropping off our bags, we took the escalator up to Level 3 for departures! We went straight to immigration, but I’d recommend grabbing a meal where the arrow points before entering. There aren’t many food options once you’re inside.

I only had this soggy chicken from CU T^T

Our boarding gate was changed twice, and our flight was delayed twice, so make sure to keep checking and listen for announcements!

we were so happy when we saw our plane after so much delays

Once you’re back from Jeju—or wherever you’re flying from—you’ll end up on Level 1 after picking up your luggage, right where you arrived before your flight.

there are a lot of signs in English that can help you get to where the subway is
just need to follow the signs!

We were going to stay in The Recenz Dongdaemun Hotel again and it was under line 5!

There are a lot of signs, make sure to check your surroundings and read!

we were supposed to enter here already, but I noticed these sign,s so I told my parents that I need to find where the elevator is
we passed by it already! The signs were a bit hard to find
I would recommend taking the elevator if you have huge luggage

* very important *
Once you reach B3, you’ll see something like this on your RIGHT —it’s shorter than the usual ones, so don’t forget to tap your T-money card!

all photos were taken using an iPhone 13 Pro Max

Just like that, you’re back in Seoul!
