Coming from Sinleedoga cafe, we headed to Mangwon Market since my mom really wanted street food for dinner again.
I told her people are saying there are better and cheaper options than Myeongdong street food and one of them is Mangwon Market.
Internet says the market closes at 9 PM so we were around past 7 PM. Well to my surprise almost all stalls are already closed haha oh my gosh. I’d recommend coming here during the day!
We took the bus heading here but if you would be taking the train:
How to go to Mangwon Market by train –
Get down at Mangwon station (line 6) and get out of exit 2

Back to what we did, we took the bus and there is a bus where that’ll drop you at Mangwon Market directly.

As soon as we got down the bus stop, we just turned around and saw the market already.

Initially, we were so excited but as soon as we walked through the alley everything was already covered hahahaa 😭.

Luckily the fish cake stalls were still open and it was a good option since it was cold (since it snowed earlier) and having warm soups sounds so good.

오지개 just requires 2 sticks per person to be able to sit inside so my mom and I got 2 sticks each, but we bought more after, to be able to get in. Mom got the spicy fish cake while I got the regular one. The spicy version didn’t have a soup.

Having just fish cakes and tteokbokki was not our plan for dinner but we’re glad it ended up that way since we had a hearty meal 🩷.
