Ikseon Chihyang (익선취향) (How to go, what to expect)

I was supposed to take my brother here last year when I took him to South Korea but he decided on having K-BBQ for his first meal.

I have seen plenty of Tiktok videos of people having a meal at Ikseon Chihyang so I was also curious, just like everybody!

How to go to Ikseon Chihyang

1. Get down at Jogno 3(sam) ga station (line 1, line 3, line 5)

2. Get out of exit 4

as soon as you get out, you’ll look to your left
and you’ll cross the street
heading towards Ikseondong
from here, you’ll just keep on walking straight
yes just keep on walking straight
you’ll end up in an alley that looks like this
and you’ll see Ikseon Chihyang on your right!

You made it!

we had to wait for a bit but I think it was less than a 5-minute wait

so many choices 😭

The staff handed us the menu while we waited to get seated.

After less than 5 minutes, we got seated!

After a few minutes, our order already arrived – Whole Pork Belly Rose Pasta. It tasted as good as it looks! The pork belly was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. The chili flakes and that red part of the pasta was not spicy, it added flavor to the creamy sauce.

I saw some people dislike this dish but I think it’s a dish you should try at least once if you’ll be flying to Seoul! The way they made the pork belly is something worth trying.
