Mongtan (몽탄) (How to go, what to expect) – one of the BEST beef bbq I had

I have seen different videos about this place and how long the wait time is for lunch or dinner, which is around 2-3 hours. I don’t want to wait that long just to be able to eat so I was happy when I saw someone recommend to come here during off-peak hours.

How to go to Mongtan

1. Get down at Samgakji Station (line 4, line 6)

2. Get out at exit 8

immediately face right when you get out
it was a bit confusing but just follow the arrows
follow the curve
and all you have to do is walk straight

you’ll be able to spot the restaurant!

I was planning to go there at around 3 PM but we already arrived at around 4 PM.

we had to queue but it wasn’t so bad!

we were able to get seated after 10 minutes!

what makes this restaurant different is how they prepare the meat initially

Our table already had the dishes prepared for us.

we got the U-Dae Galbi / Straw-Grilled beef short ribs and Yangpa Bokkeumbap

THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE BEST BEEF KBBQ I HAD IN MY LIFE

our server recommended pairing wasabi and herring roe and it was DIVINE

the friend rice was also so good
