Yu Yuan , Four Seasons Hotel (유유안 포시즌스 호텔) (How to go, what to expect)

3-4 months before our trip I was starting to look for Chinese restaurant where we could celebrate my dad’s birthday. The Chinese restaurants in Seoul is not like the ones in Manila so it took me time to find one.

I stumbled upon Yu Yuan, a Cantonese restaurant that serves Chinese food, the kind that we are used to so I booked a reservation ASAP.

It’s easy to do online reservation and it’s possible even without a Korean number.

I went to their website and did online reservation – https://www.fourseasons.com/seoul/dining/restaurants/yu_yuan/

It will prompt you to another website and will ask for your information.

of course I had to choose birthday (family) as an option!

After doing everything this was the last part of the screen, hiding my dad’s birthdate for his privacy 🥹.

I also got an email confirming my reservation.

We rode the bus from where we came from but you can also arrive here via subway!

How to go to Yu Yuan , Four Seasons Hotel :

1. Get down at Gwanghwamun station (line 5)

2. Go out of exit 7

when you get out, you’ll face the left
you should see a big Godiva store (it was under construction when we went), you’ll turn to the left again
you’ll walk straight
and this is what you should see, I’m sorry I forgot to take a photo during this part so this screenshot is from Naver Map!
you won’t cross the main street but the side street, there should be a Nature Republic on your right
all you have to do from here is walk straight

and you’ll end up at the hotel!
we entered through the side door

there is a public lift designated for those who is not a guest!

the one at the bottom is their special Black Truffle Beijing Duck

very sweet 🥰
I’m glad they allowed us to go in already even if we were 45 minutes early, we saw the sky change to nighttime

I didn’t share what we ordered on Instagram, but I’ll share what we got here!

You can check the menu on their website as well.

really wanted to try their dimsum but realized it was only for lunch time 😔
it’s a sign to visit again 🤩
we got half Beijing Pecking Duck and they will serve it to you for two way which was such a steal in my opinion! we chose the ‘Bi Feng Tang’ deep-fried sliced duck with garlic and chili
we got ‘Char Siu’ barbecued Iberico pork shoulder in honey
skipped on seafood so will probably try next time
also ordered Crispy Jeju black pork in sweet and sour sauce
got Sautéed bokchoy in soy sauce for veggies and Wok-fried Chinese noodles with Hoengseong Hanwoo beef 1 for dad’s long life!

After waiting for a few minutes, food was slowly served to us.

Those dishes may look small in the photos but the three of us were SO FULL. My dad was worried we might not be able to finish everything!

After devouring everything, the staff brought out a cake for my dad and some sweets for us three. The staff also brought me the bill.

Took photos of my dad with his cake before paying 😆.

the chocolate was so good!

all photos were taken using an iPhone 13 Pro Max / Fujifilm X-T20 18-55 mm

I was so happy I found this restaurant and decided to celebrate my father’s birthday here. Happy birthday, dad! Always be happy ❤️.

I’m willing to come back here to try out their other dishes, especially the dimsum selections 🤤.
