Seoul: Where to stay (The Riverside Hotel)

I’m going to start by saying DO NOT book a room here! Please don’t make the same mistake I did.

Coming from Busan, I was planning to book with The Recenz Dongdaemun Hotel but the prices for the dates were not giving! They were so expensive.

I tried to look for an alternative hotel when I stumbled upon this hotel. I checked the location and it looked okay. It wasn’t that far from the station, the price was decent, and it was around the Gangnam area.

Photos from Agoda were this so this was more or less my expectation from the room.

what I expected for the bathroom! I have a hard time taking a bath while holding the shower head so as long as it’s attached to the wall, I would not mind if the bathroom was small

What we got :

the hallway to the room was not good, you can tell that they did not make an effort in making the hotel clean

not all the sockets were working..

😭

If you still want to book this hotel, I still took note of how you can go here via subway.

follow the signs that says exit 5

exit 5 has an escalator so you don’t have to worry about carrying luggages
view as soon as you get out
you just keep on walking straight
until you reach the building with CU

across the building with CU is the building to the hotel , it was a bit of an uphill walk
and this is the door that was showed on Naver Maps 😭 my brother had to help me carry my luggage
there are signs that will lead you to the front desk

there’s apparently another entrance that won’t let you carry your luggage but you have to go around the block, it was raining when we went there so going around is more difficult for us

Watch my South Korea travel film here!

💚, R
