Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukcheon Hanbok Village (How to go and where to rent hanbok: 3355 Hanbok Rental)

One of my best friend was with me during this trip and she wanted to wear a Hanbok and go around Gyeongbokgung Palace. I wanted to fulfil one of her dreams and her bucketlist so we decided to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukcheon Hanbok Village.

ATTENTION: Gyeongbokgung Palace is closed on Tuesdays.

Okay so first thing that we did was to rent a hanbok so we went to Bukcheon Hanbok Village.

1. Get down at Anguk Station (line 3)
2. Go out of exit 2

walk straight as you go out of exit 2

We decided to rent our hanbok at 3355 Hanbok Rental. We didn’t want to be too far from the station when we have to return the hanboks.

you’ll see this intersection after walking straight from exit 2
cross to the left
you’ll see a hanbok mannequin
go down to enter 3355 Hanbok Rental
as soon as you enter the place, there are a lot of hanboks to choose from

we chose 3 hours since I have a feeling 2 hours will be too short for us (I was right!)
the people at 3355 Hanbok Rental will help you wear your hanbok
you can rent the head piece and bag for free! (yes you can ask them to do your hair for an additional charge)

Walking around Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukcheon Hanbok Village:

The palace is not that hard to find and the village. Their structures are huge, you just have to follow the roads

Don’t panic when you see this, just enter and walk in. Gyeongbokgung Palace is inside! Free entry to everyone wearing a hanbok!

happy to fulfil one of my best friend’s dream!

pls don’t be too noisy when you are walking around Bukcheon Hanbok Village, this is a residential area
