Stanley Park and Downtown Vancouver (What to expect and where to eat at Downtown Vancouver: Thierry, Japadog, Chatime, Five Guys)

If you want a chill day in Vancouver, you can take it slow during first half of the day (or start fixing your luggages) come to Stanley Park when it’s almost sunset then head to Downtown Vancouver at night.

Stanley Park

Towards the end of our trip, my brother suggested that we head to Stanley Park when it’s almost sunset (he knows how “obsessed” I am with sunsets) and that it was one of the places that has a good view.

We were supposed to bike around the park but the bike shop refused since I think it was already too late for us to rent bikes (they were closing soon) alas we had no choice but to walk around Stanley Park. No regrets tho!

one of the prettiest sunsets I’ve seen
feels like you’re watching an old movie

Downtown Vancouver

I’m not sure if there’s anything to do in Downtown Vancouver but to do sight seeing (or shopping if you have funds lol) or if you want to take good (instagram) photos then this area can be one of your options!!

If you want to look for a specific place in Downtown, I suggest you preload where it is on google maps do some screenshots (lol that’s what I did) but I will still place the exact address of some of the places we went to below.

took me years but I finally visited Urban Outfitters
so sad when I saw the prices tho huhu so I just went around the store
good place to buy Canadian souvenirs!

Eat: Thierry

This dessert place was actually recommended my brother’s friend, Zavier. They serve cakes, macarons, coffee and I think ice cream as well. They’re usually fully booked but he told us good thing there were already less people when we arrived.

He also mentioned that people usually flock here for the desserts because it was delicious!!

lol hi Zavier

Eat: Japadog

I think there was a buzz going around Japadog for being “unique” since they were offering a Japanese hotdog.

There was a branch in downtown so we decided to try what the buzz was all about.

For me it was nothing special but it’s worth the try.

we got Kurobuta Terimayo since it was the most popular

Drink: Chatime

My friends know how much I am addicted to Chatime (ps. best one is still from Taiwan). I already know there’s Chatime in Vancouver (thanks to my brother). After spending a few seconds on google, I saw that there is one in Downtown!!!

We got a little bit lost (since we just pre loaded google maps before turning off the wifi) but THANKFULLY WE FOUND IT!!

Chatime is definitely life.

Eat: Five Guys

Five Guys is one of America’s favorite burgers and found it’s way to Vancouver! I haven’t tried Five Guys yet so we decided to try it!
